Formation bonus
The same five heroes, split differently — and the bonus doubles.
A squad holds five heroes. When several heroes of the same type stand together, every hero in the squad gains a bonus to HP, attack and defence. Only the split of types matters — not the seating order, not which hero exactly it is.
| Split | Bonus to HP, ATK and DEF |
|---|---|
| 5 of a kind | 20 % |
| 4 + 1 | 15 % |
| 3 + 2 | 10 % |
| 3 + 1 + 1 | 5 % |
| 2 + 2 + 1 | no bonus |
There are no other splits — five slots across three types allow exactly these five patterns.

The mistake that costs ten percent
The most common mistake is three of a kind plus two mixed. That is 5 percent. Split cleanly into 3 and 2 it is 10 — with the same five heroes, without a single upgrade. Filling the two remaining slots with one type instead of two doubles the bonus.
Try it yourself
The 2+2+1 split is named in no source. It is the only one left over and, by everything observed so far, carries no bonus.
Checked in game and cross-checked against the English community wiki. Where the two differ, it is noted.
