Counters between the types
Infantry beats aircraft, aircraft beat tanks, tanks beat infantry.
Still missing for this page
Everything that is still missing →- Still open: whether the 20% applies to every kind of battle (attack, rally, garrison) and whether research or heroes shift it. Without that, no calculator can say for sure whether attacking a stronger opponent with the right counter pays off.
The three troop types counter each other in a circle. Before attacking, it pays to know what stands on the other side — the advantage is large enough to make up a gap in numbers.
| Type | has the advantage over | is at a disadvantage against |
|---|---|---|
| Infantry | Aircraft | Tanks |
| Aircraft | Tanks | Infantry |
| Tanks | Infantry | Aircraft |
How strong the advantage is
The favoured type takes 20% less damage from the type it counters: infantry from aircraft, aircraft from tanks, tanks from infantry. The direction matters: it is less damage taken, not automatically more damage dealt.

What this means in practice
- Before attacking, check which type stands at the front of the target.
- A counter advantage is a factor, not a win condition — hero stats, gear and troop tier still count.
- If you field three garrisons, you can deliberately spread them across types instead of building the same one three times.
Where these figures come from
Checked in game and cross-checked against the English community wiki. Where the two differ, it is noted.
