Capitol Conquest
How the battle for the Capitol works — and how to score without taking the Capitol yourself.

Once a week the alliances of a Warzone fight for the Capitol. Whoever holds it provides the President. Alliances that do not want the Capitol can still profit: through Capitol battle points at the mines around the Capitol and through the President Items.
How Capitol Conquest works
- It takes place once a week.
- Only an alliance that holds a level 6 city and also owns a city directly next to the Capitol can challenge it. Both come from the City Clash.
- Anyone with base level 15 or higher can take part.
- The battle lasts up to eight hours. The first alliance to collect a total of four hours of Capitol control wins. The time adds up; it does not have to be continuous.
- If no alliance reaches four hours, the one with the longest total time wins.
- The leader of the winning alliance becomes President of the Warzone. The other members do not, not even those who fought.
The grey zone around the Capitol
Around the Capitol lies a grey zone (called Dark Zone in player sources). Shields do not work there, and radar exploration is blocked. A base moved there can be attacked without a shield. Only relocate once your alliance has a plan for it.
Scoring without conquering the Capitol
According to players, attacking mines in the grey zone earns Capitol battle points. That way an alliance can score even if it does not want to attack the Capitol itself or does not meet the requirements.
- Attack mines in the grey zone: according to players, that earns Capitol battle points.
- Keep your own losses small: a squad with few units can only lose few. Players therefore suggest sending weaker squads to the mines in the middle. Whether the points depend on squad strength is not confirmed yet.
- Do not leave your base unprotected in the grey zone: no shield helps there. If you only want to attack mines, send squads and keep the base outside.
- Keep an eye on the hospital after the attack. Whether units at the mines are injured or killed is not confirmed yet.
President Items: for every player
The President and the Vice President hand out items that give a strong bonus for five minutes. Anyone can apply, including players from other alliances. That the Vice President hands out items across alliance lines is confirmed by screenshot.
- You can apply from base level 16, for one item at a time. You get at most three items per day.
- Each item accepts up to 100 applications. Approved players join a queue of up to 100 places. President and Vice President can move someone to the front.
- Once authorization is done, the item is in your inventory. The five minutes only start when you use it. Construction, research or healing must be started within those five minutes, so prepare everything beforehand.
- Unused items expire at 00:00 server time.
- With every new Capitol Conquest the application lists are cleared. After that, you apply to the new President.
| Effect | standard | Conqueror | applies to |
|---|---|---|---|
| Construction speed | +50 % | +60 % | construction started within 5 minutes |
| Research speed | +50 % | +60 % | research started within 5 minutes |
| Unit training cap and training speed | +20 % | +25 % | 5 minutes after use |
| Healing speed and hospital capacity | +20 % | +25 % | healing started within 5 minutes |
| Resources from city resource buildings | +100 % | +120 % | collected within 5 minutes |
In the German game the construction item is called „Super-Bau…“ (screenshot); the English names are not confirmed yet. The stronger Conqueror versions come when the President wins the cross-Warzone Capitol battle as the attacker. A standard item of the same kind overwrites the Conqueror effect, so check the name before using it. The bonus only applies to the player who uses the item, not to the whole Warzone.
President and Vice President
- The President appoints and dismisses the Vice President. Applications for the office need base level 16.
- The Vice President approves President Items on the President's behalf and can move applicants to the front.
- The Vice President's term ends when the next Capitol Conquest begins.
- The President can send a message to all players of the Warzone and grant commendations. Each player can receive one commendation per term.
- In the cross-Warzone Capitol battle, President and Vice President can dismiss squads of other alliances from the shared garrison.
