Gear
Four slots per hero. The best gear belongs on the first squad, not on everyone.
- Known from screenshots: purple goes up to level 30 with extra stats at levels 10, 20 and 30, orange up to level 40 with extra stats at 10, 20, 30 and 40. Still missing are green, blue and red, plus the base values per level. They come from the game, not from second-hand sources.
Every hero carries four pieces of gear: weapon, backpack, vest and grenade. It is crafted in the Gear Factory, unlocked through the Military Base.
Quality tiers
Gear comes in the same rarity tiers as heroes: green, blue, purple, orange and red. Each tier has its own upgrade cap, and higher tiers gain extra stats at certain upgrade levels. Red is not crafted but promoted from orange.
Where the good gear goes
- First, completely onto the five heroes of your main squad.
- HP and defence for the defenders in front.
- Attack for the attackers behind.
- Dismantling returns a large share of the materials — do not let retired pieces sit around.
Does a stat also count against real players?
If a stat ends in “(VS Monster)”, it only works in fights against monsters, meaning the enemies the game itself controls. Against real players it does nothing. Stats without this tag apply in every fight, PvP included: attacking a base, in a garrison, on Saturday in the Alliance Duel and in the war zone.
How you can tell
- The game puts restrictions into the name, in both directions: “(VS Monster)” for monster-only stats, “(PvP)” for player-only stats. An example of the latter: airship stage V-6 raises the enemy unit death rate (PvP) by 5%.
- In the squad research the variants sit side by side: March Speed (VS Monsters), Battle March Speed, Resource March Speed and Universal March Speed. When a stat only serves one purpose, the name says so. The general stat has its own entry.
- The same gear screen lists stats with and without the tag. The vest carries “Damage taken reduced (VS Monster)”, the backpack “Physical DMG resistance” with no tag. If the tag were just forgotten now and then, there would be no such clean split.
| Gear (example) | Stat | Applies |
|---|---|---|
| Composite bulletproof vest (purple, level 22 of 30) | Hero DEF, Hero HP | in every fight |
| Damage taken reduced (VS Monster) 5.25%, plus 2% each at level 10, 20 and 30 | monsters only | |
| Heavy tactical backpack (orange, level 10 of 40) | Hero DEF, Hero HP, Hero DEF +3.75%, Hero HP +3.75% | in every fight |
| Extra: Hero HP 20,000 (level 10 and 30), Physical DMG resistance 10% (level 20 and 40) | in every fight |

What this means for your gear
- In fights against monsters the “(VS Monster)” stats count in full.
- In PvP only the untagged stats count. A vest whose extra stats are all “(VS Monster)” only brings its base stats there (Hero DEF and Hero HP).
- If you fight players a lot, look for untagged extra stats when upgrading, such as Hero HP or Physical DMG resistance.
- Physical DMG resistance, going by its name, only lowers physical damage. The game also has energy damage (its own Energy DMG research), which it does not help against.
There is no in-game line that literally says “applies in all fights”. The rule follows from how the game names its stats and matches every screenshot we have. A counter-example would be a PvP battle report in which an untagged stat does not apply.
